“As a training leader, I give presentations to groups of people. I organise information and visuals to explain ideas, and speak clearly so everyone can understand. My goal is to help people learn through interesting and engaging presentations.”

All the activities in this unit enable students to answer the key question:

How do we design clear, consistent, and audience‑friendly presentations that communicate ideas effectively?

Knowledge statements

This is achieved by students studying 4 “Learn-it” lessons, each of which focus on one knowledge statement:

1. Know the core features of presentation software for creating a slideshow.
2. Know how to recognise poor design choices and their impact on the effectiveness of a presentation.
3. Know how templates, layouts and themes can be used to create consistent presentations.
4. Know how transitions and animations can be used to support the delivery of information to an audience.
