20 June 2026
The June 2026 update to Smart Revise introduces a range of quality-of-life improvements requested by teachers and students. These updates are designed to make navigation, task management, and analytics clearer and more intuitive across the platform.
Support for more than two exam dates
Until now, Smart Revise could only support two exam dates when calculating countdowns for students. This worked for most qualifications, but some international courses include a third exam in place of the NEA component. In this case, students would see “0 days until your exam” after completing their second exam.
Smart Revise now supports up to six exam dates, ensuring countdown information remains accurate for all supported qualifications — although we hope nobody ever needs quite that many exams!
Displaying real question numbers in Task analytics
Every Advance question in Smart Revise has a unique global question number, making it easy for students to revisit specific questions later. However, within Tasks, questions are also numbered sequentially — for example, 1–10 — to create a more familiar exam-style experience.
This created a challenge for teachers wanting students to retry particular questions later in Advance mode, because the task question number and the global question number did not match.
To resolve this:
- Analytics reports for Advance questions within Tasks now display both:
- the question number used within the task
- the global Smart Revise question number
- Students can now jump directly from their mark book to the original Advance question using a new review button.
These changes make it much easier for teachers to direct targeted independent practice.
“Select All” checkbox moved to the top of topic filters
Following teacher feedback, the “Select all” checkbox in topic filters has been moved from the bottom of the topic list to the top.
As before, the checkbox acts as a toggle:
- clicking once selects all topics
- clicking again deselects all topics
This makes it much quicker to select or clear topics, especially when choosing only a small number from a large list.
“Add all questions” option when setting Tasks
When creating a task, the Experience step now includes new add all and remove all buttons for each question type.
Previously, teachers needed to use the input boxes or increment buttons to adjust question numbers manually. The new controls make it much faster to select all available questions for a task with a single click.
Updated AI marking feedback colours
We have also updated the way AI feedback box colours work within Tasks.
Previously, the border colour indicated whether a question had been marked. Some teachers and students found this unclear, so the colours now reflect performance instead:
- Red — below 50%
- Amber — 50–74%
- Blue — 75% and above
